amily reunification in Spain allows foreigners to reunite their family members in the country, thus facilitating cohabitation and social integration. To apply, it is essential that the applicant has a valid residence permit and that the family members are the spouse, registered partner, children under 18 years of age and dependent ascendants. In addition, the applicant needs to proof that he has sufficient financial means, adequate housing and health insurance to cover the family members.

Among the requirements to apply are the applicant’s accreditation of the family relationship, evidence of stable income, such as payslips or tax returns, and also a rental contract or property deed proving the availability of housing. Finally, the family members to be reunited must have a criminal record certificate from their country of origin or the country in which they have live in the last five years.

All documents submitted from abroad must be accompanied by the Apostille of the Hague and translated by a sworn translator.
